MAXAM is a provider of RIOFLEX explosives, accessories and blasting experts to deepen the Port of Norrköping in Sweden for the Swedish Maritime Authority.
Van Oord has been awarded the contract for this project, worth 19 million euros.The aim is to widen and deepen the entrance fairway and port basin. This will involve dredging 3 million square metres of clay and silt, as well as the drilling and blasting of 200,000 m3 of granite rock.
