Belo Horizonte, 07 September 2015- MAXAM began local operations in Brazil in 2004. MAXAM, the world's third largest company in the area of blasting products and services for mining, quarries, and construction, was founded by Alfred Nobel in Spain in 1872.
- Over the last ten years, MAXAM Brasil has participated in important operations in mines, quarries, and cement production, and has also collaborated on a variety of civil works projects throughout Brazil.
- The headquarters of MAXAM Brasil are located in the city of São José dos Campos and its production plant is in Cruzeiro, Minas Gerais state, and it has a total of more than 279 employees in the country.

- Riomex®, a pumpable emulsion available in different versions (6000, 7000, 8000) and pure "undoped" pumpable emulsion (Riomex® 10000).
- Valex®, high-energy, medium-density cartridge emulsion. This can be used as bottom and column charge, can be used with all rock types and has excellent water resistance.
- Valex Granulado®, a safe and easy-to-handle ANFO explosive manufactured based on a mixture of high quality porous ammonium nitrate and fuel oil.
