MAXAM Outdoors, in collaboration with the Miranda de Ebro Technology Centre Foundation and CELLMAT (University of Valladolid Cellular Materials Laboratory), is undertaking a research project on the high-density polyethylene casings used in hunting and sports shooting cartridges.The aim is to improve the performance of the casing through micro and macro-structural analysis and its relationship with its manufacturing process. This project is part of MAXAM Outdoors's R&D+i activities and it is aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of the polyethylene casings both in the final product as well as in the wastes and consumption generated during their production.
The ECOMAX project is funded by money awarded as part of the Challenges-Collaboration tendering process by the Spanish State Program for Research, Development and Innovation Aimed at the Challenges Facing Society under the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016.
