- The new plant can produce up to one million cartridges a day which will be destined to the U.S. market, the largest in the world with 20 million shooters.
- The project involves a 17M€ investment and starts its activity with 40 employees.
During the inauguration ceremony at the new Rio Ammunition plant in Marshall (Texas), two letters sent by the Governor of Texas, Gregg Abbott, and Senator John Cornyn emphasizing their support towards the project were openly read to all attendees.
The Governor highlighted Rio’s over one hundred years of experience offering top quality cartridges to hunters and shooters, as well as “the opportunity to not only bring new jobs and investment to our communities, but also to foster expansion and prosperity for businesses large and small. I hope this relocation will be a boon for Rio and for the Marshall community as a whole”.
As for Senator John Cornyn, his letter emphasized the clear benefits that Rio Ammunition’s new plant poses for Marshall, together with the close collaboration that the project has received from the City Council and MEDCO (Marshall Economic Development Corporation).
